Dentist Spotlight: Dr. Simon Amir
Giving back to our community is one of Dr. Amir’s greatest passions. He is dedicated to assisting patients who may not be able to afford oral health care. He recently received hospital privileges at Advent Health in Ocala to offer pro bono dental work. Often patients awaiting heart surgery cannot get the cardiac care they need until their dental infections have been taken care of. Dr. Amir loves being able to provide them with the procedures needed to receive their surgery. He also traveled to Jacksonville on March 12th to volunteer at a clinic that a classmate of his from dental school runs. Dr. Amir is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Florida College of Dentistry and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Our doctors host dental students who assist us in providing free care to the underserved community one Saturday a month at our practice.
