Dr. Jaclyne Herrera
For Dr. Jaclyne I. Herrera, dentistry has never been just about treating teeth—it has always been about caring for people. Since calling Ocala, Florida home in 1994, Dr. Herrera has built deep roots in the community and dedicated her life to helping those around her feel healthier, more confident, and more comfortable with their smiles.
A proud graduate of Forest High School, Dr. Herrera went on to attend the University of Miami, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, graduating cum laude with additional studies in Biology, Chemistry, and Spanish. Her passion for science and service led her to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Florida through an Army Scholarship program.
After earning her dental degree and becoming licensed, Dr. Herrera served her country as a Captain in the United States Army. During her four years of active duty, she had the privilege of caring for the men and women who serve our nation, carrying forward the same dedication, discipline, and compassion that continue to define her approach to dentistry today.
With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Herrera still finds the greatest reward in the moments that matter most to her patients: seeing someone smile with confidence again after restoring their teeth, providing relief to someone who has been living with dental pain, or helping a patient maintain a healthy smile for years to come.
Because every patient’s needs are different, Dr. Herrera has developed a broad range of skills to provide comprehensive dental care in one trusted location. From preventive care and routine treatments such as fillings, crowns, and bridges to more advanced procedures including root canals, extractions, wisdom tooth removal, and select implant procedures, she strives to make quality dentistry accessible and comfortable for her patients. For those who feel anxious about dental visits, Dr. Herrera also offers sedation options designed to help create a more relaxed and reassuring experience.
Dentistry continues to evolve, and Dr. Herrera believes her patients deserve the very best that modern dentistry has to offer. She has completed more than 900 hours of continuing education, continually expanding her knowledge and skills. She is currently advancing her training in areas such as advanced bone grafting techniques and the use of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) in dentistry to provide even more innovative treatment options. Outside the office, Dr. Herrera enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and appreciating the relationships and experiences that make life meaningful.
